A Quality Golf Course established in 1897, the course is challenging but enjoyable and set in the picturesque foothills of the Surrey Hills offering spectacular, far-reaching and panoramic views.
With membership options that help make golf affordable to people of all ages from all walks of life, membership is open to everyone.
Our new members vary from complete beginners to low, single-figure handicaps; from those who already know existing members or join with friends; to others who initially join ‘on their own’ wishing to meet and socialise with others that share their enjoyment of golf. Whatever your situation we make it easy to join, help you to meet other members, gain confidence on the course and get involved in the club.
Whatever your needs or if you have any questions, get in touch and come and look around. Simply contact Allan Smeal - our General Manager / PGA Professional 01306 886917 or email email@example.com
We are justifiably proud of our course and if you’d like to ‘try before you buy’ we offer a trial round for a reduced guest green fee (fully refundable against your membership fee if you decide to join). You can play by yourself or join existing members for a friendly introductory game.
If you are not yet ready to go on the course or would like to refresh your skills, our Resident Professional offers individual lessons or group tuition. Our very popular 3-Month Trial and 12-Month Stepping Stone Memberships are a great way to introduce you to the game, both of which include a number of lessons as part of the introductory package.
If you don't feel you can justify the time or cost of full golf club membership but would still like to enjoy many of the benefits of being a club member, then our Lifestyle Points Membership may be the answer for you. It allows you to buy points and top-up as required and is designed for the less frequent player.
All of Dorking Golf Club’s membership categories offer great value for money with special prices for juniors and fantastic reduced fees for young adults up to the age of 30.
On joining we make it easy to get involved. We will put you in touch with the relevant section captain. There are a number of friendly 18-hole and 9-hole roll-ups in the week and we can pair you up with one of our buddies that will be on hand to offer you advice and help you integrate into our Club.
Members’ Club - Being a Members’ club rather than owned by a company or individual means that it is run "by the members for the members" with the club's best interests at heart. All members have a vote at any AGM / EGM meeting and we encourage members to express their views and offer up suggestions and ideas. Dorking Golf Club is a non-profit making organisation so any surplus is invested back into the club.
CONGU Handicap - Only by being a member of an England Golf-affiliated golf club such as Dorking, can you attain an official CONGU handicap which is accepted worldwide. A CONGU handicap allows you the opportunity not just to play competitions here at Dorking Golf Club but also Open Events at other course as well.
Full Competition Programme - Playing competitions regularly gives you the chance to get your official CONGU handicap down to your targeted level. To this end, Dorking Golf Club run a full programme of midweek and weekend competitions for both men and ladies along with our Elders (Men's Over 55s section). Mixed golf is popular at Dorking Golf Club with events throughout the year. You will also have the opportunity to represent the club in interclub matches and we have dedicated teams for men, ladies, seniors and juniors. The Club is very friendly and "down to earth" and our membership includes people from "all walks of life" who believe in golf with "no airs and graces".
