Dorking Golf Club

The Course

Dorking Golf Club is a 9-hole course set in the Surrey Hills with spectacular views.

Every hole is very different with its own challenges and this is part of the appeal of the course.

To play 18 holes, you play the course twice. The first or front 9 holes are played off the White (or Red) tees; the second or back 9 are played off the Yellow (or Blue) tees. The White and Yellow tees play longer and the Red and Blue tees play shorter.

Those players starting their round on the 1st tee and those players about to play their back 9 holes off the 10th tee should alternate to tee off. Matches generally have priority.

Take care as there are some cross-over holes (2nd and 3rd; and also the 5th, 8th and 9th holes). Be aware of others and play safely (shout FORE if your ball is heading towards others or if you cannot see or do not know where it has gone). Games in front have priority over those behind in order to keep the pace of play flowing around the course.

The 8th hole is a "call over" hole so once all players are on the 8th green, if the game behind is waiting on the 8th tee, call (wave) them over and then putt out once all the following game have tee'd off.
