Junior members are allowed to use the Club facilities at much reduced fees, they are therefore expected to show every consideration for other members and pay particular attention to Section 1 of the RULES OF GOLF - ETIQUETTE, The Rules of Dorking Golf Club and in addition the following rules apply to Junior Members.
MEMBERSHIP
Junior Members shall be under the age of 15 - 18 years & Cadets 14 and under.
PLAYING RULES
- Juniors are to be accompanied by an adult member until they have been judged competent by the Committee or Junior section Supervisor.
- At Weekends and Bank Holidays Juniors may only play after 2pm summertime and 1145am wintertime.
- Juniors with a Club Handicap of 24 or less may play before the above times with an adult member.
These time must be booked at the Club in person or by phone.
- Juniors may invite Junior and Adult Guests to the club, who must adhere to the above rules. The same guest may only be introduced 10 times per Year
HANDICAPS
- Girls will be Handicapped by the Ladies Section
- Boys will be handicapped by the Men's Section
- Junior section handicaps up to 54 will be allocated
- Boys up to the age of 14 will be handicapped from the LGU tees until attaining a handicap of 28 when they will be handicapped from the Men's competition tees
- Boys of 14 and over will be handicapped from the Men's competition tees.
- Handicap certificates may be obtained from the Handicap Secretary for external competitions.
GENERAL
The Committee, Club Manager or Professional may on occasion allow exception to these rules.
COMPETITIONS
- Juniors may play in all Junior Section Competitions off full Junior handicaps.
- Boys with 54 handicaps or less may play in Men's Competitions or those specifically allowing such handicaps, entering these competitions is for Handicap purposes only, no entry fee is payable. Boys with a handicap of 18 or less may play in all Men's Competitions including Cup's.
- Girls with 54 handicaps or less may play in Ladies competitions or those specifically allowing such handicaps, entering these competitions is for Handicap purposes only, no entry fee is payable. Girls with a handicap of 32 or less may play in all Ladies Competitions including Cup's.
- Disqualification will result in any competition played if these Rules have been ignored for whatever reason.
